I started my training in October 1985 on Praktika MTL’s and Olympus Trip 35's, working for an independent repairer . I soon progressed on to the first 'microchipped cameras' the Canon A series (A-1, AT-1, AE-1, AE-1 Program) which were very advanced for their day.

In those early days it was hard to imagine that cameras could get more complex. Then along came Auto Focus!

Since then, my knowledge has not stood still, for I have been on numerous training courses with the top manufacturers
